On March 25, 2024 Phyllis Rose Christena Wilde (Berreth) at the age of 85 passed away in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.
She is survived by her three daughters JoAnn Davidson, Darlene (Jim) Yaroslawsky, Rhonda (Dwane) Jones, her mother Gladys Berreth, brother Clifford (Myra) Berreth, her grandchildren Kellie Davidson, Kendal (Ken) Pettyjohn, Sharmon (Ray) Davidson-Becker, Cassidy Yaroslawsky, Colt Yaroslawsky, Tye Jones, Randi Jones. And her 4 great grandchildren, Tanner Davidson, Natasha, Christena and Emily Pettyjohn
Predeceased by her father Edwin (Wheat King), brother Jerome, Sister-in-law Elaine, Husband Wayne, Daughter Valerie, son-in-law Doug.
Phyllis met Wayne while she was working at Bowies store and he was working at Bowies ranch at Piapot. She worked at Bowies Store, Howard’s in Maple Creek, Wheel Inn Café in Piapot, and housekeeping at the Maple Creek Hospital for 23 years before she retired in November 12, 2003.
Wayne and Phyllis raised their family on a farm in the Piapot R.M. living there from 1963 to 1981. They purchased a home in Maple Creek then and resided there until their passing in 2024.
She enjoyed chatting and having coffee with many, many people (to many to mention), playing cards for many years with her friends and really, she just generally loved to visit.
A memorial service will be held at the Maple Creek United Church on May 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM
A private family interment at the cemetery to follow after the service.
